Hello there! :) Before I share a short little tutorial with you...I'm excited to announce that I'm over at Dondalee's today sharing my "Oh Deer" artwork! Stop on by today and say hi!

DondaLee's

I finally finished my Christmas tree garland this past week which took an eternity to make.  I kind of wanted it to resemble a kite tail with lots of bows (my favorite thing of course)! :)

Did you know Amazon sells charm packs?! Well they do, and it made me a pretty happy girl when I saw...

Little Apples by Aneela Hoey for Moda!

I've had my eye on this charm pack for a while because it has the perfect combination of Christmas colors: aqua, red, green, grey and white! So I snatched it up lickity split! ;) I think E was excited too! When it arrived, she kept shouting: "I need my fabrics! I need my fabrics!" Well... there's no questioning whose daughter that little girl is!

To make the bows:

1.  Fold your 5 inch square in half, wrong sides together, forming a rectangle.

2. Sew around the entire folded rectangle, leaving a 2 inch gap at the bottom.

3. Turn the rectangle right side out.

4.  Press it with your iron.

5.  Sew a top stitch around the rectangle to close the gap shut.
6. Pinch your rectangle in the center.

7. Take a needle and embroidery floss and feed the needle through the pinched center.

8. Wrap your embroidery floss around the center a few times.

9. Attach your bow to your garland string by wrapping the remaining embroidery floss around it and tying it off at the back, making sure you thread your needle up through your string so that the bow is completely attached.  :)

And your finished!

Here's a little sneak peek of my Christmas tree for you lovelies:

Happy Thursday and Happy Crafting! :)
