"Choose Your Love, Love Your Choice"

As soon as I heard President Monson quote that in this last General Conference, I could picture it embroidered on my wall. First I embroidered the quote and decided I didn't like it and then I embroidered mason jars with the quote inside and decided I love it!

First I found the mason jar pattern using a stamp image that I blew up to the size I wanted:

I then traced the image onto some muslin fabric and started embroidering with one of my favorite stitches called the stem stitch (great for outlining)

After I finished embroidering the mason jars, I cut and ripped the edges to make them look a little more tattered...

Hand stamped the quote using a basic lower case stamp set and some black ink onto muslin and glued them onto some burlap

I covered 2 8X10 canvases in a burlap, used my hot glue gun to put it all together and voila!

Love the burlap. I have been wanting to use some bu the yardage is expensive. I found a better priced alternative. If you have a Tractor Supply Store near you they sell burlap bags for only $1.29 and they are large with lots of good fabric and only 2 seams.

What a perfectly retro-y version that highlights his quote beautifully. Love your funky take on this! Coming from eighteen 25 and your new admirer of your awesomeness.
