Create Your Own Cake Pop Tags!

I'm the activity coordinator for the youth at our Church and the activity this month was a "non talent show." That's right... NON talent. :) I thought it would be fun to give our youth "talents" that they can perform in groups on stage. It was hilarious to see what they came up with. I was so impressed! :)

So impressed in fact...I decided to give them all cake pop awards at the end of the show... ;)

To make the award labels for the cake pops, I  used this fun chevron print I found HERE, saved the image, opened it up in my free GIMP program (you can use Picnik too) and cropped it down to the size I wanted. I used different texts to type up the individual awards...

Best Magic Act
Best Dance Act
Best Rock Band
Best Circus Act

Then, I made homemade cake pops via Bakerella's "Cake Pop" book:

For the finishing touch, I wrapped the cake pops in plastic treat bags, tied some baker's twine and added the tags...

They were a huge hit! :)

I just adore cake pops! Maybe that's why I look for any excuse to make them... ;)

Have a very pleasant day!
