Did you ever make homemade Valentine's as a kid?
I remember making some with my mom out of red and white paper heart doilies in the 2nd grade. It was one of my favorite Valentines memories.
This year is Miss E's first Valentine's party at school and I thought it would be fun to make some homemade Valentines to give out. Luckily there are only 12 kids in her class, so it wasn't too difficult to put together. ;) In fact, they were rather easy to make. Normally I'm scrambling last minute to get holiday crafts done but this time I was 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Yay!
And if you are ever wondering what to do with the empty Costco cardboard packaging you have lying around (maybe that's just me), just cut them up and make it into Valentines! :) Miss E also helped me stamp her name and glue on some felt hearts.
She got a little attached to the plastic animals and may have disassembled the Valentines at one point so she could keep them and play with them but I persuaded her to give them back by giving her her own set which she was thrilled about and now we have plastic animal friends all over the house. :)
I hope you all have a LOVEly Valentine's Day!!
Happy Crafting!
Love, Sierra

Such a cute idea!
were did you find the little animals?!
I have made something like these but my animals have sayings. "I'm not lion, I want you for my Valentine." With a lion. "You're unforgetable" elephant.
Where did you find the animals? I love these!
Thank you! ☺️ I want to say I found them at the dollar store but I have also found them in the toy section at Walmart.
These are absolutely adorable. My kiddos are crazy for little plastic animals. They spend hours playing with them, using their imaginations and making stories of what's happening with their animals.
I did a roundup of Handmade Candy Free Valentine Ideas Kids Will Love and included your project in it! I'd love for you to take a peek and share if you think it's a fit for your audience. :)

This is a great non-candy idea! For those looking for small animals: Safari Ltd. makes toob animals - they come 12 to a pack for around $10. if you live near a Hobby Lobby or Michael's, they carry the toobs for $10 and you can always use a 40% coupon! $13 in amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Safari-Friends-Including-Crocodile-Elephant/dp/B000BNEOS0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1454092452&sr=8-2&keywords=zoo+toob
I would love to use this idea for my sons kinder class! Of course if that's ok! I think it's adorable!
How did you stamp the wording on the paper? Please help... Thanks!
That is totally fine Tina! I'm so glad you like them! ☺️ Ayesha, I picked up a small pack of tiny stamps at Michaels. But you could totally print it up on Kraft paper from the store. ☺️
I found 10 pack tubes of zoo, farm, and aquarium animals at Dollar General store this week. They made great valentines. Thanks for the post they are adorable!

wow
Really a nice valentine’s post. My friend is going to organize a surprise party for her father on his birthday at one of alluring New York Event Venues next month. She wants it to be a blast and wants to make her father feel special. Hope she will book nice one soon.
