It's Begining To Look A lot Like Christmas!

Wow I've missed you! We have all had the sickies over here, so I haven't been doing too many projects lately but I did redecorate my shelf with a little bit of Christmas cheer so now, naturally, I feel like decorating the entire house. ;)

I shall call this shelf: "decorating for Christmas on a budget."

Red, Silver and Aqua ornaments: Came in packs $4/$2 from Walmart
Crystal Candlesticks: $1/$2 each at Deseret Industries
Glass Vases: $2 each from a garage sale
Deer Artwork: Made with materials on hand
Waterless Snowglobes: Mason jars- $1.29 Bottle brush trees- $1 both from AC Moore
Vintage school books: $10 on Ebay
"Be Merry" bunting: Made with materials on hand

Funny story about the "be merry" banner: while I was sewing it together, my jean needle snapped in half and hit me in the eye! It was a good thing I have quick super mommy reflexes and shut my eyes or I think I would most definitely be blind! Moral of the story: wear protective glasses while sewing through thick canvas. ;)

Happy Monday! :)

Gorgeous! I love the bunting, but am so glad it didn't ruin your vision to make it. Wow, what a story!! I would never have thought of that happening. I love the "self portrait" in the ornament. ♥
