Have You Ever...

Reached a point in your life where you have decided you hate the color scheme of your home and feel the need to change it immediately?! That is so what happened to me! I had a paradigm design shift <----or at least that's what I like to call it. I came to the conclusion that I hate red and no longer wanted to see it in my house anymore. Perfect timing too, because we moved right then. When we moved to this cute little town home, it started speaking to me and I started listening. Do you know what it said? It said: "Get rid of the red!" I mean what do you do when your house tells you to get rid of something you were already sick of? you can't argue with that! I'm such a nerd, when I get a idea for the house, I draft it up in my notebook.

Remember my subway sign?
I knew I wanted to hang it up in the house somewhere but I wasn't quite sure where to put it. I finally found the perfect spot but it felt...well...lonely. Until I revisited this idea from Pinterest a while back...

Aren't they just perfect!? Funky Vintage Lovely knows how to make some darling frames, that's all I have to say. I also want to say: thank you for the fantastic idea! :)

So I made my own...

My frames are a bit thicker because I used what I had on hand but the project from start to finish only took me like 10 minutes...seriously! You can do this! I hot glued picture wire on the back and found some small clothes pins to hang the pictures up with.

Here's the formula...

Hot glue gun + Picture frame + Picture wire = a cute way to hang pictures :)

I don't think my subway sign feels lonely anymore. ;)

Stumbled across this old post on Pinterest today. Love your subway sign (and your frames around it.) Wondering where you got your subway sign. Did you make it or purchase it somewhere? Would love to get one!
